Dude, you're writing a novel, reading three novels a week, and teaching? I'm like Wallace Shawn at the beginning of My Dinner With Andre trying to mail a letter.
I want to know so much more about your reading habits. I have lots of questions! I would love to interview you somehow. I mainly would like to know how you read. Like, physically what does it look like? Do you read on your phone or tablet, or do you read print books mainly? How do you sit down to read--do you read while at a table or do you get comfortable in a chair? Do you read with a pen in hand?
Well, I have a reading chair in the living room with a lamp and a side table full of books and filled below that with magazines. It also fits a mug. I usually read in the morning as I drink coffee. Also at night. If I’m teaching a book I typically mark up a digital copy, as they are easy to use to look up passages. I read those digital copies on my phone or iPad. The comics also.
Wow, I read at a comparative snail’s pace. I’m saving this too add to my own TBR list.
I’ve been working on a young adult novel, and my reading over the past year has gravitated in a direction dictated by that. Now that I’m nearing the end, I’m picking up things that I’ve neglected on my shelf.

Trained as a speed reader as a child! I want to know so much more about that!

So grateful to see what you're reading. (My to-read list is getting long.) I also now really want to read The Message by Ta-Nehisi Coates.
